Care for a beverage? Spicy Hot Chocolate
I just received an email from Kathy’s iPhone with a photo of a perfectly beautiful baby boy, Carter Steven Scoleri. Ten fingers, ten toes and mama Kathy’s eyes, it looks like.
7 lbs. 9 oz. (I think her other son, Reilly, was also that same weight, but I might be mistaken) and 19.5 inches long… yay!
Yay, Baby 2.0 has a name now. :cheese: I assume mama is doing fine. I’ll anticipate a relatively slurred phone call in a few hours. Congratulations, Kathy and Steve!
One of the many other projects I’ve been wrapping up around here is my pending second baby. Just wanted to let anyone interested know that I am taking Official Maternity Leave starting today July 10th until October 2009. Yes, Official even! I don’t know why it’s official it just sounded better. I’ll be delivering on Monday via c-section and will probably be out of touch for a week or two while I heal and get a grip on our new family member. I will be checking email periodically through my leave so if any emergencies* arise I will route them to the appropriate avenues. Auntie Joelle, bless her heart is holding up the Moxie Fort while I tend to the new baby. However, she has a very busy schedule so please, if you are a client of mine, email me first and I will
make sure your problem gets handled appropriately. I will be accepting new projects in the fall on a first come first serve so if you are an existing client or a new client, I will certainly take your projects once I am able.
Before I go, I want to say thank you to my wonderful business partner for being such a good friend, an amazing designer, and a supportive business woman. Without her I could not rest easy on a maternity leave. Thank you Joelle for being such a great friend. Be kind to her while I’m gone, folks. Thank you also to my clients… I appreciate your patience while I adjust to our new life.
*Emergencies include words like “gone, bleeding, death, dismemberment, expirations, deleted, crashed, missing, and !@#$!@” etc. If you need a button made, it might take a bit so we appreciate your patience!
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add all ingredients. Shake well and strain into rocks glass filled with crushed ice. Top with grenadine and garnish with fresh mint.

Ok, so it's not really a magazine. It's barely even a newsletter. "Low-volume" is an understatement. We save the mailing list for the really exclusive stuff or the really BIG stuff. So, you can feel confident signing up without fear of us flooding your inbox.
But if mailing lists don't blow your dress up, you can catch us on Twitter, Facebook or subscribe to our RSS feed.
We may be bijou, but we're the cat's pajamas, so we're only able to accept a limited number of projects per season. We encourage you to submit your inquiry early.
Kathy is available for new projects in March 2012.
Joelle is available for new projects in June 2012.
