Vegas Staycation

Just a quick note that I’ll be out of the office starting in the afternoon on Thursday Feb 24th through Tuesday, March 1. I’ll be back on Wednesday, March 2nd, ready to rock n’ roll, but am looking forward to a long weekend with friends here in Las Vegas to recharge my creative batteries and refresh my spirit, so I can continue to bring my A-game to my clients. I will reply to your emails if it’s truly urgent, but if the sky isn’t falling, I’ll reply on Wednesday, March 2nd.

Kathy should be around, so if there is an emergency (i.e., your site has been hacked, we’re being invaded by aliens, that sort of thing), you can drop her an email, but she’s got two small children and is only available part time, so please be patient.  But let’s assume we won’t be invaded by aliens, shall we?

I’m super excited for the coming months and all the wonderful websites it will bring to life and new ventures it holds. Catch you on the flip side!

Of Rabbits and Requests…

I love her eyes.Maybe it’s the Year of the Rabbit, maybe it’s just because we’re just that awesome (heh), but we are hoppin’ busy with some wonderful projects. We’re still wrapping up some more elaborate projects from 2010, starting new projects for 2011, and have a few proposals in negotiation, so as of now, we’re booked solid until April.

Since Kathy is raising two beautiful boys, she’s only able to take on design work part time, so that limits the amount of projects we can take each season. My schedule fills up quickly, as well, and I’m working on a big non-client-related project that I’m not allowed to talk about until its launch is imminent. It’s a book! It’s a website! It’s a TV show! It’s… it’s… it’s… maybe it’s something else entirely. I legally not allowed to tell you, so… you’ll just have to wait. :) It’s exciting, though!

An aside, Kathy’s been having some weirdness with her outgoing email not reaching people. If you’ve put in a request for a proposal and never heard back, drop us a line via our contact form. It’s likely that we did reply within a day or two, but it may have drifted off into the Internet ether. We don’t see any obvious problems with our email set-up and her email is working fine for most folks, but it’s worth mentioning, so please let us know.

We appreciate your patience with our schedules. We’d love to work with you and hear more about your project! So if you’re interested in working with us this year, please get your Requests for Proposal in, let us know which designer you’d like to work with and we’ll set up a time to chat. I’m quite talented at chatting. Ask my freshman English teacher who used to bust me for talking in class.

Moxie on the Move!

What happens in Vegas… is Moxie, baby. Who’s the big winner? I’m the big winner! That’s right, yours truly is moving to Las Vegas in the next few weeks. I’m so money.

Ok, I’m done with my Swingers references.

So this is just a brief update of my schedule:

I’ll be in n’ out the first week of November (11/1 through 11/7) making the mad scramble to pack and get my ducks in a row before the movers get here. I’ll be around and will check in on email and do whatever work I possibly can, but please bear with me.

I’m going to be out of the office the 2nd week of November (11/8 through 11/14) actually

moving

, complete with moving truck, boxes and bunny. As soon as my internet is turned on, I’ll be online checking email and will get back to you as soon as humanly possible.

Looking forward to wrapping up the year and launching the new one with some awesome projects on deck… if you’re interested in working with me in 2011, please get your requests in ASAP. I’m accepting inquiries right now, booking for January 2011, so please put your requests in soon so we can get started on your estimates.

Thank you and I’ll catch you in Sin City!

Look! Clients Full of Awesome!

Greetings!  It’s about time we updated around here and let everyone in on what’s going on in Moxieville.

You may have noticed we’ve not updated the portfolio in a while. Not because we’ve not done anything new – on the contrary, we’ve been super busy! – just too busy focusing on our clients to dedicate time to our own website.  That is all going to change by our 8th anniversary, though, so keep following and by Valentine’s Day, you should see a whole new Moxie Design Studios—complete with a fresh, totally awesome portfolio, some new features and if everything goes according to plan, new services.

We have, however, done some lovely work in the past several months, which we’d like to highlight for you right now!

There are more, actually… but I didn’t want to bore you. And these are just some I’ve done — we’ve not even scratched the surface of Kathy’s list yet.  So even though our portfolio hasn’t been formally updated, as you can see… we’ve been busy betties!

We’re really looking forward to displaying our clients more robustly on our new site and featuring them even more prominently. We just need to find a moment to schedule ourselves as our own client, which I’m sure is something to which you can probably relate.

Want to work with us in 2011? We highly recommend filling out our Request for Proposal ASAP, as our schedules do fill up and we’re already booking for January. Drop us a line—no project goes unnoticed, so we welcome your inquiries. We want to hear about your great ideas and help make them happen for you.

More Moxie is on the horizon, so stay up to date with us by subscribing to our RSS feed, following us on Twitter or adding us on Facebook. See you around!

The Plague Has Fallen on Moxie Design Studios San Diego

Hello all! I just wanted to pop in here and let our clients know that poor Joelle is severely under the weather.  I’ve instructed her to get on the couch and rest until she is well again.  Yes even us freelancers need a couple of sick days once in a while!  If you are a client of Joelle’s please bear with her as she mends from the flu. If you have an emergency you can contact Kathy (That’s me!) and I’ll do my best to assist you.  I know Joelle’s loyal clients are waiting patiently while she gets well enough to work again so we really appreciate your understanding.  Know that when she is able to be upright again she’ll be back in the swing of things.  She’s good like that.

Feel better Joelle!
