And Baby Makes Three

Hello everyone!  It’s been a while since I updated my schedule so I thought I’d pop in and give the rundown.  As you may know, I welcomed a son into the world in late December and have been playing “Mommy” ever since.  It’s been a wonderful, exhausting experience to say the least.  He is a wonderful little guy and I couldn’t be happier.  In the meantime, Moxie celebrated it’s three year anniversary which just floors me.  I am very proud of what we’ve done in the last three years and most importantly, I am lucky to get to do this all with the best partner in the universe.  She has held up the fort like a trooper since I have been on Maternity leave.  Happy Anniversary!

Speaking of, I am still currently on leave until the beginning of April.  I don’t yet have a definitive start date as I am planning a move out of Hurricane Alley to a lovely town outside of Atlanta, Georgia.  When I do return I will be taking a few projects and hopefully lightening the load Joelle has.  I do appreciate everyone’s understanding while I go through the rest of my leave.  If you are a current client and have an emergency, please email me as I have been able to check my email regularly, but please be patient with me! Thank you again to my clients for their continued loyalty and patience!

Moxie Anniversary!

Three years ago, Kathy asked me if I wanted to help her do some blog designs in our spare time.  Little did we know that 3 years later, we’d be where we are now — over 400 projects and counting!  It’s been 3 years of trying new things, succeeding at most and tripping hysterically over others.  We’re thrilled to have been able to provide snazzy designs for your websites and blogs and hope to continue.  Skillset aside, we’re very lucky women to be able to do what we love for such amazing clients. And working together, if only “virtually”, is always a great time.

So far, it’s been a fabulous ride!  Here’s to three more years!

Spicing Up a Good Cause: Hot Blog Sauce!

Over the summer, we designed a site for Nick Lindauer of HotSauceBlog.com.  He recently contacted us again about participating in a charity project for the American Cancer Society. With the help of Danny Cash Hot Sauce, they created Hot Blog Sauce.  Nick asked if we would design a label for the bottle based on his site design.  We were happy to oblige!

imageToday Hot Blog Sauce is available for purchase! It’s a limited run; only 144 numbered bottles are available in this first batch.  They’re $7.95 a bottle with $5.00 from each purchase donated directly to the American Cancer Society.

Whether you’re a hot sauce enthusiast or just interested in supporting a good cause, stop by Hot Sauce Blog and order your bottle of Hot Blog Sauce for a good cause. smile

Thanks for the opportunity to participate, Nick!

We’ve Got Mail!

Wow!  2006 started off with a bang!  We’ve been flooded with requests, so my fingers are smoking with the speed in which I’m typing out proposals.  I think I took having Kathy around for granted!  I sure miss her “around the office”.  No one else “gets” Hashbrown Friday!

Since Kathy brought (cutest little muffin ever) Reilly into the world at the end of December, she’s been trying to catch up on sleep and get the hang of this “new mommy” thing.  If she’s as good of a mom as she is a designer and friend, she has nothing to worry about.

We’re working on some new projects for 2006. We tend to get ideas to a fault; so many ideas, so little time (and so little capital!).  In this case, we’re working on ways to make your Moxie experience as worry-free and smooth as possible.  Consider it The Easy Button… like Staples.  So stay tuned for some changes over the year.  We’ve got some great stuff in the works!

I appreciate your patience while I prepare these estimates. It takes a little bit to assess the particular needs and desires for your website.  We want to make sure we deliver the very best!  If you have contacted us recently and are waiting for a response, please know that if you submitted your request through the form on this site, your request has been received and you should have received a confirmation email.  I’ll be back with you in two shakes! smile

If you submitted a request for an estimate and didn’t receive a confirmation email, please contact me directly.  Thanks!

Auld Lang Syne, etc.

I never really understood what that song means.  Anyway, Happy New Year!  Our holidays were smashing, though very mellow, which is exactly what I needed.  Good times, good friends and partridge in a pear tree. Fa la.

On with 2006! Kathy has given birth to a beautiful (seriously, like perfect) baby boy, which was a surprise considering we’ve been squealing and pink-ifying ourselves into a frenzy in anticipation of a little girl.  But boy... and he certainly is a cute one.  She won’t be around for the next 4-ish months, as she’ll be in New Mom Training™ (a.k.a. maternity leave), so I’ll be holding down the fort here at Moxie.

Speaking of which, my schedule is currently full through

February

mid-March. If you are interested in being booked for late March, please contact me as soon as possible and we’ll get the ball rolling.

After finally taking a couple of much-needed weeks off over the holidays, I’m sure you can imagine my inbox overfloweth… I bet yours does, too!  smile  I appreciate your patience while I sort through these emails; I will do my very best to respond as soon as possible.

I appreciate your business and your interest very much. Thank you!  Cheers to 2006!
